Some games will run a bit faster, some a bit slower. Overall, no major difference.

I think you have to determine whats holding you back right now.

The X2 4800+ and the whole 939/DDR architecture is maybe the bottleneck in your system right now. If it is, you'll gain very little by upgrading your GPU.

my x2 4800+ is not 939, it is am2 brisbane core and i use 3gb dd2 pc 6400

I see.

And what kind of imporvement are you looking for? More fps? Higher resolution? Settings higher?

What's wrong with the setup you have right now?

a bit more fps i really do get a lot i play lost planet and always get max 111 min 68 fps, i always play at 1400-900

so why bother for more? I think your LCD can't render anything over 60fps anyway.

Nice monitor!

I guess your target is to run your monitor native at 1680X1050 then.

Have you try this yet? What kind of performance do you get with your actual setup?

as I said, you need to figure out first if it's your CPU/system or your GPU that holding you back.

If it is your GPU, then it is a matter of googling for reviews/benchmarks that will compare performance of those cards at 1680X1050.

You'll find out then if it's worth the upgrade considering the price. In my opinion, you have a well balanced rig right now, nut I'm no expert in gaming performance.
