Since, for some reason, my original text got reduced to a few lines in the end I guess I'll rewrite a short version due to laziness.

Will running 3x2gb tripple channel rated memories on a dual channel chipset (790i ultra) decrease performance compared to only running 2 sticks?

The memories in question are these: http://www.patriotmemory.com/produ [...] 763&type=1

Even when running 3 sticks CPU-Z still says "Channels # Dual"

So, based on the assumption that CPU-Z is in fact wrong and I am now running the 3 sticks in single channel, how much of an increase in bandwidth can I expect from removing 1 stick and then running in dual channel?

I use this computer for heavy games such as Crysis Warhead and I hear memory bandwidth is extra important when dealing with heavy graphics and anti-aliasing.
