Question About DDR2 Ram Problem!!!!!

Ok I'm trying to build my first desktop. I have all the components and I researched everything heavily online.

I bought a Gigabyte MA770-US3 mother board from newegg which had the system specs saying DDR2 1066 ram. I also bought OCZ Reaper DDR2 1066 Ram to use.

WHen I unpackaged my gigabyte mother board there is a huge sticker on it that says DDR2 1200+ on the front! Can I use the DDR2 1066 ram or do I have to buy new ram. I'm going to be a little frustrated with newegg for putting different specs down on the page if I need new ram.

DDR2-1066 is fine. DDR2-1200 is rather expensive for a minimal performance increase, if any: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231201.

Does all DDR2 work with all DDR2 plugs (I don't know the terminology)

Why does any DDR2 work? Are the numbers just speeds basically?

Yes, the 1066 and 1200 are just speed ratings. Your DDR2 1066 RAM will work fine. The rating on the motherboard is just a max rating. It doesn't mean you have to use DDR2 1200 RAM.
