Repair wordpad document

Hi,

I have a problem with my wordpad document that I've never experienced before. After I saved my work in wordpad I closed the computer. Next day when I opened the document to continue my work the only thing I've could seen was couple squares in a row. I've try some basic options to fix that document but no success. Can you please help?

Can't help you recover, and you probably can't, since you had shutdown in between time, and if there were a temporary file created, it would be gone now. I can suggest to stop using a rudimentary doc processor, and use one that has auto save at intervals during document creation.

That's what I was afraid it's going to happened. Theoretically I didn't shut the computer completely. I just closed the lid and automatically the laptop it goes in sleep mode. But I don't thing that's matter.
