I will be upgrading my entire PC in a few months...

in the meantime, I need more hdd space. I was thinking about getting a WD Black 1TB to use now and then transfer to the new system. My prob is that I have a 6 yr old mobo and power supply. The mobo is ide, however I do have a sata via addon pci card. i think the main prob is the power supply. i think newer hdds take a different power connector than the old 4 wire connectors that are red yellow black

any advice?
