So I have this weird problem with my PC where any sort of storage or music device I connect to my PC through any USB port, shows up saying that it needs to be reformatted and then if I try to reformat it it says that it cant do it.

I have tried this with 2 flash drives that work on other computers and an Ipod that is perfectly fine. It says that the Ipod is corrupt or something and wont work on Windows.

Obviously there is something wrong with my PC, but I'm not sure where the problem is coming from. I already have a USB mouse and a USB cord for my keyboard that I leave plugged in permanently and they dont seem to be effected. It seems like anything that is showing up on my PC as a storage device or drive, automatically needs to be reformatted but I cant actually do it.

Can anyone help me? Not being able to use flash drives is really a problem for school and stuff. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my PC's ability to detect removable storage devices of any kind whether it is a flash drive or an Ipod.
