the past few days i have had the message "a network cable is unplugged" when clearly it is pluggud in. i know that their is nothing wrong with the cable, because i have an xbox right next to the computer and i used that cable in the computer and it still did not work. but when i used the computer cable for the xbox it worked. so obviously it is something with my computer what is the problem?

What network interface is in your computer and have you tried to upgrade the drivers? It could also be a bad contact on the RJ45 connector.
