How long have you had this system?
Is the PSU the original one and did it come with the case?
Power Supplies can age especially if they are the cheaper ones and running close to their limits. Is it beeping at all when you try to start it up? See no screen displays at all? If it is a heat-related problem for the CPU, then a new heatsink-fan would be the remedy. The Intel processors are pretty good at protecting themselves and go to reduced speed and then shut off before getting damaged. If you have an available PSU that you can swap in that would be a good test for that issue. I have had 2 Antec PSU fail on me in the last 2 years, and that is normally a good brand. First one was still on the 3-year warranty, so got replaced for free. Good warranty, they had no issues with replacing.
i self built this seen im in i.t, mother board is few years old yes, power supply only just started using, i gonna take it into work tomorrow and test it on another lower watt power supply but i know it works off it cause i first double checked to see if it working off that, see i checked the heat sink...... but for awhile i noticed north bridge was very hot, so maybe my mob burnt out.... i got no clue see the system doesnt have speaker so cant even know what beep its doing, so cant say its ram or cpu or nothing
woould faulty powersupply also cause this issue?
