Can anyone tell me whether WMP 10 Mobile for Pocket PC (version 10.0 build
14235) should support SAMI caption files?

According to a search ont he msdn /dev net it does but when I have a SAMI
file in the same directory as my media with the same filename (.smi or .sami
extension) the player just doesn't show the captions. I see no option to turn
them on or off in the menus on my Ipaq Rx3115.

I'd love to get the captions going - it's the missing link for me on this
IPAQ.

If WMP can't do it - does anyone know of a device that can?
Is it typical for an IPAQ to support 'overlay' caption blocks? or is there
only one video plane on a pocketpc?

Ian,

Unfortunately, WMP10 Mobile doesn't support SAMI captions, embedded or
external.
