Hi all,

I have a Dell 30 inch that only has DVI input. I want to connect my Onkyo receiver that has RCA and Component output to this monitor so that I can use that as a TV.

Is there any cable that will allow me to do this?

Thanks a lot.

[correction: the receiver has RCA and Component out, not VGA. Sorry]

You have to check if the monitor input is a DVI-I (not DVI-D). If so, you could probably use something like that, but quality might not be that good as VGA cable cannot support the full 2560x1600 resolution of most 30" monitors. Other than that you either have to get a digital conversion box or get a new receiver with DVI/HDMI outputs.
