I am a bit lazy but I have never got on with my Sony Vaio but after a very long story of saving and wiping memory, I now seem not to get sound. There's alot of hardware 'working well' but I don't seem to have the hardware for just 'sound'. Can anyone help?

I used to think Sony was good. Please let me get a Mac.

Still no luck. I installed drivers but had thm anyway on my machine. What next?

What is the sound card installed in the computer, under sounds and audio devices in the control panel what is listed as the default device or what are your choices.
