amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 6000+ 3.09ghz, 8g G.skill, asrock a760gxe/128m,2 hd 3870 in crossfire acer 22"flatpanel, just wondering how my pc stands up hoping this will suffice for awhile any input greatly apprecciated, im a little worried about heat witht the dual 3870s on this motherboard havent got other yet have 1, other is in mail. The pci e ports are farely close together.

depends on what you think "awhile" is

both your CPU and GPU are starting to get long in the tooth but they still can handle any game out there on high settings

lol thinking about getting quad core next month as my motherboard can support it!

other than that i was thing of 4870s but im worried about heat!

well thinkig about quad core phenom next month 3ghz dont know about graphics card? any suggestions was contemplating 4870s but worried about heat and i read alot of reviews saying they are really hot! they sit really close on this motherboard.

the 4870 is a fine card, I have read the HIS ones run rather cool. Check the GPU forum for some personal recommendations from users
