Hi there.
I want to buy a new graphics card and I was wondering if a Nvidia price drop is expected any time soon?
The reason is because the new 4700 is better than what Nvidia has at the same price range and the only reason I am not going ATI is that I learned their drivers are faulty.
ATI drivers are not faulty, where do you get this nonsense? Theres a million people out there using ATI cards without problems.
Tom's and all the other sites do reviews of these cards every time a new one comes out, funny no mention of faulty drivers.
Theres a handful of people out there that switch from Nvidia to ATI cards and dont properly uninstall their old drivers and wonder why they have problems.
I switched to ATI a couple months ago with a HD4850. It's my first ATI card since the ATI Rage 3D 4mb. I absolutely love the card and now I'm a big ATI fan.
They are ahead of Nvidia in technology and their prices are the best for the buck right now.
Nothing wrong with ATI's current drivers.
In the past few years, their driver team has picked up the slack and they are now quite respectable.
Even if nVidia is planning price drops (I have heard of none), I doubt you will locate a better deal than a 4770.
