Hi everyone,

I am planning to buy a 500 GB 2.5" Portable.

I have narrowed down my options to

1. Western Digital Elements 500 GB

2. Verbatim 500 GB

3. Transcend StoreJet 25D2 500 GB

4. Seagate Expansion 500 GB

This will be my first external hard disk. I have never used one before.

I will be using it to mainly backup my files.

I would like it to last long and perform well

Please suggest one for me

I own 3 WD external drives: a 750 GB, a 1.5 TB, and a 2 TB. No problems with any of them. Gives my home network of three desktops, a 15.6" laptop, and a netbook a total of 11.5 TB of storage, all WD.
