Hi..

I have an HCL Laptop

Processor - Intel Dual Core 1.6

BIOS Phoenix which does not supports USB Booting and does not support more than 3 GB RAM. I would like to upgrade the BIOS.

Other than using the latest BIOS available for your laptop, there isn't much that you can do. If booting from USB is an absolute requirement, then you'll probably have to buy a new laptop.

HCL Laptops seem to be a brand sold exclusively in India.

Likely all the BIOS upgrades are available at the Driver Downloads link at
http://www.hclstore.in/

I wasn't able to check as the link site was down when I tried.

hi..

as per ur suggestion i visited hclstore.in and went to my laptop category

Currently the BIOS used is Phoenix TrustedCore.
BIOS Version Q3B52

and I have seen a BIOS update of Taurus BIOS R4595 Ver Q3C61 in the download page.
Is this the update of my existing BIOS ?

Please suggest me because I need my 4GB to be used as well.

Why don't you contact HCL at http://www.hclinfosystems.in/hcltouch.htm? They should be able to answer your questions.
