I've been watching the prices of a few different DDR2 brands for a few months and noticed that they are increasing in price. Here's the links of the ones I'm referring to...

This was in the $70's earlier this year...

This was @ $90 two months ago...

I was waiting for price drops on either of these but it looks like it isn't going to happen. Is it because DDR3 is on the rise to becoming the new mainstream? I'm just wondering if purchasing more DDR2 at all is worth it since I'll be building a new i7 rig next year anyway.

Any thoughts or advice on where to get decent priced DDR2 is helpful...EWB

Not gonna happen. Might get some deals on black friday. Fry's, amazon, and newegg all have specials; just have to keep checking.
