I recently bought ATI 4650 but its not showing my native resolution of 1600x900... there is no 1600x900 option in list.
I installed lastest drivers etc, and its not showing my monitor name also in CCC ... Its working on 1440x900.

So now i am using my onboard Intel GMA x3000 and its working perfectly on native resolution of 1600x900 and also i can see my monitor name in windows.

so what can i do to get 1600x900 and proper picture from ATI 4650 ?

My specs

Windows 7 32bit, Samsung Syncmaster 2033SW, XFX ATI HD4650

Thx

Yes I have installed the Monitor driver. Samsung SyncMaster 2033sw is New model, based on 16:9 resolution is 1600x900, from what you are saying I think ATI Doesn't support this resolution. Can anyone confirm ?

Thx

Did you try the ATI forums? I've found some answers there that nobody else could answer. My hunch, like someone else here, is that ATI doesn't support this new resolution yet. One of the pitfalls of being an ATI user is having to take a back seat to driver updates.

There is no 1600x900 option in the resolution list in CCC, but my Onboard Intel x3000 support this resolution, so i am using onboard graphics now. hopefully ATI will support this resolution soon. In CCC i can't even see my monitor's name.

Have you fixed your problem? 'Cause i have the same monitor and the same problem: i can't set 1600х900 resolution. My graphic card is ATI Radeon HD 5770. I also tried with one ATI card without any success. But i could set this resolution on another computer with internal graphic card.

I was having the same problem a while back but just checked a system with Catalyst 10.8, and 1600x900 is now supported for my 16:9 ratio monitor. This, after a long discussion in This Thread diverted the conversation from notebook to desktop graphics!

Now you guys mention it, I notice my HD4200 with 10.8 drivers are not showing 1600x900 as well. But it is showing 1920x1080,1766x1000,1680x1050,1440x900 and the rest. Wondered why, I need 1600x900 for some games which the HD4200 can't handle well.
