built my system in feb. here's what i have:

e8400 @ 3.2 ghz
gigabyte ep45-ud3r
evga gtx 260
wd black 500 gb
ocz plat ram 1066 (4 gb)
ocz modx 600 watt psu
running vista ultimate

it ran great until about a week ago. now it will occasionally shut off. it doesn't shut down it turns off like someone pulled the plug. instant black screen. it will then try to reboot and go into a loop untill I switch off the power strip. I restart from safe mode and then it is fine again. I'm suspecting the psu but I also have a veris remote system installed that connects between the mobo and the psu on the main power cable.
my question boils down to this; does this sound like a psu? i can see that it would cause the powerdown but don't understand why the system would loop when it trys to reboot. i can bypass the remote system to eliminate that, but the power outs are few and far enough between that this may not be a good test.
thanks -steve
