Hi,

- intel core i7-920
- asus p6t deluxe v2
- corsair xms3 dhx 4gb(2x2gb) [4gb should be good enough right?]

w.d caviar black 1tb [storage]
- ati radeon hd 4870x2 [maybe ill get 2.. crossfire. most likely]
- haf 932 [love this case. nice and big looks very easy to work with because of all the space. like the red leds.]
- corsair hx 1000W

im still having a headache about the monitor =.=
im looking to get a 22-24"
i liked the
- samsung 2443bq 24"

- creative sound blaster x-fi titanium
- LG Black 22X (CAV) DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD+R DL 22X (CAV) DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 22X DVD±R DVD Burner - OEM

if you guys could give me some tips or recommendations
maybe theres something i can do to make it better.
i've been using the same computer for well over 10 years now. i checked out some dell computers etc but i just couldnt find one with everything i wanted. always something missing.
i REALLY wanna start ordering everything and build! im so tired of my current computer. i want to make sure everythings good before i order then i realize, "oh i should have done that" or w.e and waste money.

You'll want triple channel ram with that core i7
Make sure you get 64bit vista so you can use all that ram, too

G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM

That 1000W power supply is overkill for your system. A good 750W will do just fine. Unless you do decide to get 2 of the 4870x2 cards... then you need a 1000W. Seems like a waste to me though, since one 4870x2 will play anything.

CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W

Also, you won't notice a big improvement in load times with the velociraptor. I'd leave that out, the WD Black 1GB is a pretty fast drive

Edit: Good call not getting a dell :p Also, are you on a bugdet with this build?

the mobo you recommended
isn't it just extra? like u can do 3-way sli and 4-crossfire?
and the p6t deluxe v2 is 2-way sli/crossfire?
i dont think ill ever be doing 3-way or 4-way sli/crossfire

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145220 $84

Well, if you're going to get a smaller drive as well, the WD Black 640gb has great performance.

Its up to you really what to do with the storage. I just pointed out the velociraptor because it is an easy way to save a good amount of money, and getting it wouldn't do much else than shorten load times.

Heh, I'm not the person to ask about monitors.
I've been gaming on a 15" LCD for the past 6 years :p

I wouldn't go with ultimate, you barely get anything for the substantial extra cost.

Vista Home Premium 64-bit

You dont need to get the OEM "System Builder" version, but it is over $100 less than the retail version.

I actually just ordered the 2433BW 24" earlier tonight. At a price of $299 ($269 after MIR), I couldnt find anything to beat the specs and price of it. It is the exact model I have at work (BestBuy) so I have actually got to look at it prior to purchasing it.

That is incorrect. I own the Deluxe v2 and it cannot truely do 3-way SLI (pcie 16x on every port).
It cannot even fit 3 dual slot cards.
The motherboard is great, just doesn't have that feature.
The only way you can quad SLI is if you have a dual-processors on the same card (ie GTX 295, 4870x2, 4850x2, etc.).
Those cards are already "SLIed within themselves" and therefor if you ran two (which the mobo has room for) you would technically be quad SLIing.
