Hi,

I was thinking of buying a radeon 4850 or 8800gt/9800gt and i was wondering if i would be bottlenecked in terms of performance, my lcd tv goes up to 1360x768 resolution and i was looking for some estimates on how much fps i get, The type of games im talking about are games like cod4, crysis, grid etc.

System Specs

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ @ 2.3ghz (standard)
2.5gb DDR2 Ram
80GB Sata (getting a new one)

any other specs needed, ask.

thanks

At that resolution you are more CPU bound and would run into some bottleneckign with that CPU. Now, what are you upgradign from? I'm sure you wil see soem improvement but the scaling wouldn't be great.. though that depends on what you are working with now.

Tom's did a review a while back that contained a very similar system to yours - Athlon 64 x2 4200, 2 GB of RAM, and a 4850. They got pretty reasonable results on the CoD4 and Crysis tests, so you would do well with either of those cards.
