I was thinking of getting a laptop to game on, and was looking towards dell(because alienware is way to expensive, and dell has centrino 2.)

So I checked out the studio 16 and 15, and realized that they both have slightly different graphics options, so I was wondering which of the 2 is better? Both laptops have the right size screen and a fast enough processor to game on, so its just the video cards.

I do game a lot, so the card has to be fast. I assume that they are good because they both have estimated core clock speeds of 680mhz, and my desktop(HD3850) is running at only 669mhz, and I can play all of the mainsteream games at a reasonable speed.

Please give me your opinion on these cards(for gaming) and for these laptops in general.

Thanks!

I have the 3670 in my dell studio 17 adn bought it specifically because of this mobile chip combined with the C2D processor @ 2ghz, it does game fairly okay, but nothing taxing, mostly stratergy games of past and will do well on almost all MMoO games like LOTRO or WoW but will not run never games like Crysis or Far Cry properly regardless of settings, the 3670 will play Blu Ray if you opt for a Blu Ray readder in the machine or use an external Blu Ray player - tested and verified ( the 3670 has HDCP compliancy and will offload all the work from the cpu),

here is 3670 specs and benches

Look where the 4570 stands in 3dmark 05 almost the same, but we are not sure of the rest of the laptops specs tested.

The 4570 only has 80 stream processors

hence giving nearly the same performance, both chipsets will be severly undeerclocked by dell on their machines (I know it is on the studio 17 I own) but this is easily remedied by using the amdgpu tool to get it back to the correct clocks, but only on mains as it drains the battery and with a laptop cooler as it does get hot, but it works., overall, dont expect massive gaming performance and either chip will operate around the same level.
