hi my pc having some probs these days,it starts but after few seconds the power goes out and it starts again but there's nothing can be seen in the monitor.but after keeping it for few hours with its cable's detached it boots again ,but after few days i get the same prob.

i searched for this prob and found out that it was mother board problem (asus pq5-pro),but i'm not sure.

the whole problem started after one day after i putting my pc to stand-by then after that the same thing happen again again again and after some time it worked.

is this prob with my power supply?

here's are the specs
intel q8200
4gb ddr2 ram
asus pq5pro
foxcon 9600gt
160gb hitachi HD
generic 430w power supply

Power supply. Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago, and I found out it was all the PSU's fault. Lots of people overlook the PSU, since it sometimes comes packaged with the case, but I suggest you don't, and pay for a good brand like CORSAIR or OCZ.

hmmmm but i recently connected 500w power supply but i still got the prob.i just dnt knw wats wrong
