More than likely you are going to need to change the voltage. The 5-1066 models I looked at were rated at over 2.0v and the default voltage of most DDR2 MoBo is 1.8v

Although the Kingston's state high voltages you maybe able to run them under volted (ie... my Reapers are rated 2.35v, currently running 2.26v @1100)

You may also need to manually set the latency timings (cas, ras, etc.).

setting the latency timings manually would probably help i am not sure what to choose for them though any ideas?

You should choose the manufacturer's defaults, I think for yours it should be 5-5-5-15, but you should double check the package or the website.

it still won't boot windows properly also I had difficulty finding where to put the 15 because there was nowhere in the list in the bios mentioning row active delay or RAS active delay
thank you for your help

Did those numbers match the manufacturer's?

Looking at the bios screen (I'm using the one below as a reference), set the memory to 1066, then change all the timings to what they read under SPD, unless that matches the auto, then just set it to auto.
