ever since i finally hooked up my surround sound system
to my dish network tv system ive thought that perhaps something was wrong
with my audio amp as i get no surround sound thru the speakers. now having
purchased a dvd player recorder,ive discovered that my surround sound is
working fine.is it possible that dish isnt in surround sound or even stereo
for that matter? ive tried nearly all methods of connecting to no avail

Not everything (or anything for that matter) broadcast via satellite is
in "surround sound".

Butt, if you don't have even STEREO, then you hooked it up wrong, or
what you're listening to isn't sent to you in that format.

I have Dish Network and receive digital surround. Check your set up.

Do you have digital audio (Optical or coax ) cables ??
