I am thinking to get Asus P5Q EM G45 board soon. I am Vista SP1 64 bit user. I have heard that Vista 64 bit is incompatible with this board.

Is it possible run Vista 64 bit on this board? Thanks

Where did you hear that? Asus provide drivers for Vista 64, therefore you certainly haven't heard that from Asus.

I heard this info from newegg.com in Asus P5Q EM G45 review. Installing Vista takes too much time in Asus.

I am looking for stable motherboard. I already have XFX 750i SLI mobo which is causing numerous freezing both in XP and Vista.

Is it wise to get Asus for gaming and heavy OS?

Installing Vista takes too much time in lots of systems, not just Asus. Just be patient as once installed it runs fine.

I don't understand why you're buying a motherboard with on-board video for gaming, but I presume that you are interested in other features. That wouldn't be my choice because a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P or GA-EP45-UD3R if you don't need Crossfire is better. Asus also have better motherboards like the P5Q Deluxe.

I will add discrete graphics card for gaming. In my country Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P or GA-EP45-UD3R, Asus P5Q are not available.
