"Access is Denied" in xp-not available even in safe mode

I have some folders I cant get access to. I tried it through the

my computer>tools>folder options>view>advanced settings

and the option was not there. I then booted into safe mode and still the option was not there.

any suggestions? possible to turn it off through registry?

Are they your folders or someone elses? If they are not yours you have probably been denied access

did the configuration through the registry. alls good. these are my files on another hdd after reformat/reinstall. alls good!
