For what purpose. And tft==lcd cause thin film transistor is the term for the controllers of the crystals basically.

i use my computer mostly for scripting and programming on the internet, i rarely play 3D-games. thus an LCD screen will be a good choice to me i guess..

Yeah, it'd be fine. I personally dislike it for that purpose tho cause the white will be blinding.

as long as tfts come in the resolutions they do now (cept for the special ones like the one ibm makes), i won't own one. right now i'm on a 22" flat crt and love the res, contrast, and brightness.

I got a 17" Iiyama CRT with Diamontron screen (iow flat screen) and I love it.

I've seen many TFTs and they still suck compared to a high quality CRT... especially in games.

My CPU fan spins so fast that it creates a wormhole :eek:
