it takes like 10-20 presses of the monitor button for the monitor to work not sure if it is the monitor or the motherboard

wow thanks for the quick reply- i have a gateway monitor-3-4 years old-(fpd 1975w tft lcd) with a tower custom built from computer ren-the local store is longer open(have had tower for 18 months- the fans are working- lil dust)
i can tell you i have xp pro
intel core
2 dual cpu
e700
anything else i can look up on the device monitor?

Download cpuz, post which mobo you have, and which gpu (graphics card) you have

Look for the download on the left, you probably want 32 bit (it doesn't matter if you get the setup or the zip)
