Sorry for the nubee question. I recently upgrade my computer and now I am running
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3L LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX, Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz +Arctic Silver 5,
EVGA 512-P3-N879-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB, G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2, RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WB, ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm
However, my computer is still running very slow and lags from time to time. In a performance test it got a 1046/2000. My questions: Is this build any good? What do I need to buy to improve performance?
Slow is a relative term. I am sure that PC is blazing fast compared to a 4 year old dell dimension but probably not as fast as an i7.
Overall though it looks like a fairly strong build, should be able to handle most games at high to medium high settings at 16x10 res. If you used the PSU that comes with that raidmax case you should swap it out for a better one. Raidmax PSU's blow. As in blow up.
