My internet connection fails when a wifi logo pops up with the little no symbol beside it. Why does it do that?

To be pedantic, the little logo pops up when your internet connection fails. Or rather when the wireless connecting your computer to the router fails. This may be caused by a weak signal or interference from neighbouring wifi networks or something like a cordless phone.
I would suggest trying different wireless channels as these work better in different environs. Plus always try to choose a channel five stops from the strongest neighbouring wifi networks. And reloacet cordless phone base, video sender etc.
