What x58 should i buy?
Budget: under $200, maybe $220

some facts:
-i will have 2 video cards (5850)
-cpu will be a core i7 920 (will overclock, probably to 3.2, or higher...)
-running a raid 0 setup (not sure if that has to do anything with the motherboard..does it?)
-um v8 cpu cooler!,

yea so basicly i cant decide what motherboard to buy, i have looked at some reviews (which do help) but i cant seem to decide yet....

heres what im looking at:

ASRock X58 Extreme LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - $169.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157163

GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - $198.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128375

MSI X58 Pro-E LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - $189.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130226

i guess those are my top 3...other notes, i own the gigabyte ud3r (socket 775) and i really like it after the minor hiccups in the beginning, got my q6600 to 3.6 which is nice

so any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated

thanks!

+1 to the ASRock

Or this one would be a very good one too...

ASUS Rampage II Gene

And NO to the V8...You can better performance for less...
Scythe Mugen 2/ Xig Dark Knight
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233029
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185093

^ Do you have a windowed side panel ?
And that SpinQ doesnt come with a LGA 1366 adapter too...So you would have to buy one...And that Xig Dark Knight is a very good looking CPU cooler...It has white LEDs that looks good with the black finish of that cooler...
And you cannot expect a very good performance with that SpinQ on an i7...
Instead of the SpinQ I would rather get the V8

I wouldn't Recommend the msi x 58 pro e. I have it :( and the northbrige temps are a pain to get to a level the most ppl feel comfortable with. I was running 70 idle 85 under load until I put some artic silver on it and a antec spot cool fan. now its down to about 45 idle but its too much of a pain imho
