Patriot Gaming vs Patriot Viper

Hi,

I've just jumped ship from the AMD Phenom II x4 955 to an Intel i7 (not sure which, but either 860 or 920), and now am looking at new RAM for the Intel i7 xx0.

I like the idea of Patriot Memory, as they seem to have a good rap. With the AMD, I was going to get the Gaming RAM. Now that I'm looking at the stuff again, I've noticed their new Viper series. I tried to check the new RAM out on their site, but it seems to be down . Is one better than the other, and if so, why?

I plan on using this machine for heavy gaming, modding and programming. I will also be getting at least 1600MHz DDR3 RAM.
