I have a Dell OptiPlex GX150 that is low on Ram. I have 2 slots..(Slot-A)256 MB, (Slot-B)256 MB, I would like to know am I to purchase a 512 MB to go in one of the slots. It might be simple to some but for me it doesn't come off so simple. HELP rocruzin99@sbcgobal.net

I think you read that information incorrectly saint19. "You can increase system memory up to 512 MB... " that is the entire system not each DIMM slot. So two 256DIMM's is already maximum RAM for that machine.
It looks like he wants to put a 512mb stick next to the other 256 or possibly he realizes this won't work and he's wanting to use a single 512 stick thinking it might make the system work better.
