Disk boot failure insert system disk

Hello,
my desk tops power was disturbed during a routine shut down. Now it will not boot up but cycles the boot up sequence.

From easy to hard , these are a few options:

Make sure you don't have any disc in your floppy.
Go in your bios and check the boot order to be hard drive first. Also it would be a good idea to reset your bios to its default.
Load your Win cd and go to the recovery console to try a scan and maybe a fixboot.
Do a repair install of Windows by booting from a Win XP cd .
