Cant turn off computor from start menu

When I try to turn off computor from start menu The big hour glass comes up and it freezes. Have to manually shut it off

Take a look in event viewer for red x errors in all tabs.
May give you a hint if something is abending during shutdown.

Control panel > Admin Tools > Event viewer.
