That can occur if accidentally installed hardware before software for some devices.

OK, thank you. But, that's a little vague.
Does the instance ID give an idea of what device it is? Because the driver was corrupted (so said Windows), giving unexpected hangups, I deleted it. The computer seems to work fine, but I don't what I am missing --if any.
