Help External HD changed to RAW

Im running Win7 Ultimate 64 and I have a external WD MyBook 500Gb and had a power surge in the middle of copying files to it and now Windows cant access the drive and the drive shows up as RAW in disk management. I checked the drive in testdisk and the partition is ok shows it as formated to NTFS and checked all the data is intact after checking it in Zero Assumption Recovery. Is there anyway to get the drive accessible again without recovering the data and reformating the drive and copying the data back on?
