How can I stop my monitor from doing this. It seem to start when ever I got a virus and I went and typed something in the RUN program and I messed it up. Its not a flash like flicker its like a line runs up or down the screen just moves the words up in a flicker not a smooth movement up like it should. What can I do to fix this?

Try changing refresh rate, reinstall OS, that ought to do it.
