You don't have a manual? Do you have a cd that came with the printer?

If not then go to the canon website, select your model , and you'll find a manual to download and a driver that you have to download and install.

Run the driver setup and put the cables when setup promps you for them, when done restart if needed. You can make a Pinter Test Pagefirst to test your printer...
