Sdcard not showing all songs

Hello,
i have a 2gb sd card and i m trying to copy around 250 songs to it . firstly it get copied but when m putting the same card in ipod it show only 35 songs in it .then i again deleted and put songs in it n i removed and instantly again put card reader in pc to check and only once removing it show only same 35 songs .plz anyone help

Does all files have the same extension ?
Sometimes, it depends on the way the files were compresed, recorded,etc. A general exampe It can be an Mpeg layer 3, but it can be 8 bit, mono and 22,025MHhz , not a 16 bit stereo , 44.025 MHz(stupid example, but you get the point!)
Maybe some are incompatible , they do copy, but the phone don't recognize their format...
