I've been putting a spec together for my new PC and have eventually settled on following:
AMD Phenom II X3 720 CPU
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P MBD
4GB Corsair XMS3 DHX 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Memory
550W Corsair CMPSU-550VXUK PSU
Antec P182 Performance One case
ATI Radeon HD 4770 512MB Graphics Card
However - I'm not sure if there is any difference in buying the ASUS or the Gigabyte version of the Radeon 4770.
It is going on a Gigabyte MBD so does it matter if I go for the ASUS version of the 4770 or would i be better off going for the gigabyte version? Reason I ask is that I can't get the Gigabyte version where I'm buying all the other components.
If it's an issue I'll buy the card sep - otherwise I'll just get the ASUS model.
No, the Asus model should work as good on the motherboard as the Gigabyte one.
For example, I'm running a HD2900XT from Asus on my MA78GM-S2H rev 1.1
Works fine, never had problems with the videocard.

The Pentium doesn't have bugs or produce errors; it's just Precision-Impaired.
