I have a Compaq iPaq with a 1GB storage card and am using WMP 9 on my iPaq
and WMP 10 on my PC. For some reason I can't add anymore songs to my iPaq. I
keep getting an out of space error, yet there is still 500 MB of free space
available! I've tried synchronizing the songs using WMP and copying them
directly using Explorer with the same result. Sometimes after deleting a
couple songs it will let me add one or two, but not consistently. Any ideas?
I haven't been able to find anything documenting this problem.

Thanks,
Andrew

Try running a scandisk type utility on the card. There may be some lost
clusters or similar issue. The best way is using a card reader on your
PC, there may be similar ppc utilities but I don't know of any free
ones- try a web search or check the newsgroup archives.

I'm not sure that you really needed to crosspost to so many newsgroups
though.

Hi Andrew,

I had exactly the same thing with my iPAQ and 1 gig card.

The songs must be stored in a sub-directory on the card (My Music).
Something to do with FAT storage (I think !).

I originally stored them under the root directory on the card and at about
two thirds full I got the same message as yourself.

Cheers,

Dave.
