Hello, I want overclock my AMD Phenom IIx4 955 Black Edition on my ASUS M4A79XTD EVO Motherboard to about 3.4 or 3.5ghz. I think I have sufficient cooling to do this (Cooler master Hyper 212+, Arctic silver thermal paste, and 3 case fans) but the problem is I don't know how to do this so if you could show me how or point me in the right direction (website/video) that would be great. Also, an OC to this speed would be stable, right?

this website can help. simple google search lol.
There's more you can do with voltages and such but i'm still learning. I have my 965 running at 3.8ghz with stock cooler.

i don't believe 3.8 Ghz use stock cooler ! how much RPM + noise your fan ..?

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

1- Read the 4ryan6 guide linked by jockey
2- Disable Cool'n'Quite and C1E Support
3- Check your temps, 55ºC or above isn't good.

Finally, for the 3.5GHz that you want, just go to the BIOS and rise the multiplier until you can see that speed, even, you can try the 3.6GHz with the stock voltage. Test the rig for stability using prim95, LinX, OCCT or y-cruncher for 2 hours or more.

Ive overclocked my CPU to 3.7 touching nothing but the multiplier. It ran relatively stable but i did experience issues on occasion, nothing serious though. Tuned it down to 3.6 and runs great, haven't had a single issue, and all i changed was the multiplier.
