I bought a second hand a7n8x-x acpi ver.1009 to use as a dedicated DVR. Looking at the bios default settings I'm pretty sure the maximum size HDD it works with is 136 gb. Is there anyway I can update/upgrade the bios to get it to accept a larger HDD?

Some hardrive software cd's will allow you to set up a new hardrive according to the version of windows you'll be using. I don't know of any bios updates that will increase the partition size.

Install and run WD Data Lifeguard software. The first thing it will do when run is configure the HD properly.
