Being married is kinda hard, especially when it comes to convincing your wife that its a good idea to spend money on a new computer, she gave me a $400 budget and here is what i got

AMD 7750x2 Kuma off ebay for $50
ASRock N68PV-GS AM2+/AM2 micro atx from newegg for $57
FX 9800gt 512mb new off ebay for $85
2 gig Gskill ddr2 from ebay $13.50
250gig WD sata drive ebay $30
Sony 24x DVD burner newegg $25
Rosewill case and thermaltake 480watt psu off ebay for $28
Acer 20" widescreen LCD from ebay $90

anyways let me know maybe what i could have done better, who knows i could probably craigslist this one and start over. for the OS i just reused an older copy of windows xp pro i already had.

thanks for your imput!

I think you did quite well for your budget. Thermaltake PSU's are not so great, but $28 for a case and PSU is a bargain. I think that I would have gone for a slightly better motherboard, the one you picked is old and will probably bottleneck the CPU you chose a little (3600 HT CPU vs. 2000HT MB). A 780g microatx would have been good like this one. The 4830 would probably been a little better option too, but that is a good price on a 9800GT.

I don't know much about AMD these days to make an honest judgement, but it looks like you got a good deal on everything.
