XP incompatibility with new computers?

Hi I have recently tried to install windows xp (many service packs including the 3) on new computers and after it searches and loads the drivers, it fails and gives a blue screen. I also have been experiencing this with windows 2000. However, with windows 7 it does not happen and install correctly. What is odd is that as I said, i had the same problem with windows xp sp3.

I have like 10 fairly new hp core 2 duos and core i5 and on all of them it crashed. I also have an older dell pentium 4 HT and it installed correctly. I also have an acer pentium dual core E2160 and it also failed. However, there is an exception to this, I have a brand new compaq quad core and I was able to install xp sp2 without problems on it.

Is there something i can do to install xp on these computers like trying to load and older version of the BIOS or it just is not compatible?

Have you tried slipstreaming the best drivers into a fresh XP SP3 CD, rather than waiting until the system starts to fail for lack of the right drivers?
