from a quick google im thinking your cpu isnt soldered on, so... physically it can be upgraded.

im not sure what the highest cpu that mobo will accept is tho.

Ask Acer what is supported for your computer.
You may need a bios update.
Download CPU-Z and get all the specifics about your processor.
