I have a windows xp emachines w3400 with a realtek rtl8139/810x ethernet card. Running on a home network.

All other cpu's connect to the net and network without problem.

I have lost connection with this cpu.

I have tried connecting the cpu directly to the modem also tried a different cable (didnt work)
I have tried using winsockxpfix program (didnt work)
I have reformated the factory software with reformat of the hard drive (didnt work)
The device manager says the ethernet card is working properly

The connecting says "LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY" when i try to "repair" it i get " The following action cannot be completed: Renewing your IP address. And again i have no connectivity.

Look if you pc has a hinge IP, maybe this is the problem.

The second step is that in cmd write ping 127.0.0.1, maybe you have a response, but if isn't your network port is dead.

Try with another network card... if this works, your network port is ded

Call your Internet Service Provider to reset their server. Most often this kind of problem is because their server hang. I experience this a few times

What? call to the ISP for restar the server?...isn't a good option, if they restart the server all users that connect to internet for this server lost the connection until the server start again...and maybe the problem don't solve with this....how i said...isn't the best option.
