Hi what im tryin to do is hook up my laptop hard drive a 60 gb ide to my desktop computer. I already bought the 40 to 44 pin adapter. But when i hook it up it dosnt show in my computer. My boot drive is a 500 gb seagate that is sata. im not sure if there is something i have to set in the bio for it to show up. any help would be much appreciated.

I didn't know there were laptops with Gigabyte boards in them - who makes it, and what board? Need specs to assist...
