I would recommend the Planar PX2611w if you have the money and IF you do not plan on playing console games on it.

The PX2611w uses a H-IPS panel instead of the cheaper TN panel used in the vast majority of LCD monitor. Therefore, you get really good colors and really good viewing angles. ToastyX, a very well respected member of www.hardforum.com, has measured average input lag to be about 8ms which is 0.5 frame of lag.

Connecting gaming consoles to the Planar PX2611w and playing at 1080p will result in some color banding issues. This only happens with console games and only if playing at 1080p resolution. There are no issue with PC games or movies.

Price ... roughly $800 - $850 depending on where you buy it.

This will like be my next monitor purchase.
